California Proposition 65 Notice

⚠ WARNING: One Strike fire starters can expose you to chemicals including wood dust and soot, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, and carbon monoxide, which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. What this means

California's Proposition 65 requires businesses to warn Californians about exposure to chemicals on the state's list, even when the exposure is small. The list includes wood dust and the normal by-products of burning wood, charcoal or any fuel: soot and carbon monoxide. Because One Strike fire starters are made from wood and wax and are designed to be burned, this warning applies to them, just as it does to firewood, charcoal and manufactured fire logs.

What One Strike is made of

Untreated wood and odorless, non-toxic wax. Nothing else. There is no lighter fluid, no petroleum accelerant and no added chemicals. Our wax supplier's safety data sheet states that no component of the wax requires labeling under Proposition 65.

Using One Strike safely

• Burn only outdoors or in a properly ventilated fireplace, wood stove or grill.
• Never burn any fuel in an enclosed space, tent, vehicle or garage.
• Keep a working carbon monoxide detector in any home with a fireplace or wood stove.
• Keep fire starters out of reach of children.
